Growing grapes on Fulton Lane is a little like growing grapes in Beverly Hills or Malibu for that matter, just with way better soils, but the same tax bill. Meticulously farmed this vineyard is walked daily and weeds are pulled by hand and there is nary a shoot out of place. All gushing aside, its lovely and there is only a tiny amount of this Cabernet Sauvignon to share with you.
Bright and effusive summer fruits with the telltale broodingly dark flavors of leather, black cherry, mocha, dusty green olive that can only come from the shallow rocky soils of downtown St Helena. This tastes like stepping into a time machine and relishing a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon on release in the early 1970s. Rich and seductive with the classic perfume of menthol and herbs. Sweet black cherry, tobacco and just a suggestion of tannin that bring you back to the present day.
