Small Wine Is Essential
From root to bottle.
Independent Vineyards
As more and more vineyard land across the state is planted to just a handful of the most profitable varieties, independent vineyards are the first line of defense for keeping heritage & diversity in the California wine industry.
These growers have resisted market pressure to plant typical grape varieties and farm their land for quantity over quality, which can involve the use of products that are harmful to both land and humans. By making the best decisions for the vines & the environment they put health and quality above the bottom line.
It is this commitment to the underdog varieties and stewardship of the land that defends against the homogenization of California wine. As a small independent winery we are proud to make wines grown by like minded farmers producing some of the best grown grapes in the state.
Powered By Humans
Small wineries rely on human power to create wines. Each wine gets personal care and attention from the people who know best. This human touch is something that attaches us to our wine in a very meaningful way.
Each member of our small full time team wears many hats. With just a handful of people running all aspects of operations, you are guaranteed to receive the best & most knowledgeable service every step of the way from people who genuinely care for their craft.
Small Batch Wines
One of the most compelling aspects of wine is that it is a snapshot of a time, a place, and the people who’ve created it. This temporal, ethereal essence is a delicate thing that doesn’t always hold up to mass expectations of what a wine “should” taste like.
Small wineries have the freedom to experiment and create a variety of wines and blends using different varieties & winemaking styles. This innovation leads to fresh and evolving tasting experiences that keep California wine interesting, exciting, and perhaps most importantly, personal.
When small wineries and independent vineyards succeed, through the trust & support of wine lovers like you, it paves the way for more grassroots innovation and exploration in the industry. You are integral to the future of small American wine and it is through your engagement and excitement that together we can continue to propel this movement into the future.
Thank you for supporting small wineries!
